Career Opportunities
As a childcare worker your primary function is to provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for the children (ages 6 weeks through 12 years). You will plan lessons, develop, and evaluate activities that help the children develop age-appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities. At the same time, it is important for you to build solid partnerships with parents.
Qualifications - You must be 19 or older with a high school diploma or GED. Required training, as mandated by DHR, will be provided. A TB Test, physical, and criminal history report will also be required prior to being hired.
Pre-K teachers require participation in a training program or degree in a related area, such as child development and/or early child education. Experience working with children is a plus.
